Like all companies who offer storage of personal items, our company Moving.BG has problems with abandoned property on storage. Because of the crisis many people and companies went into failure and impossibility to pay for the storage of their items, and they were forced to abandon their belongings.
The big companies give some terms to their clients, after what the goods are wasted or sold out. As our company is small, we are more tolerant and flexible and search different opportunities to negotiate with the client – partial payment, rescheduling, etc. But there comes one moment, when some of the clients just stop to answer to our e- mails and phone calls, and the situation is clear.
So, here comes the moment to decide what to do with the abandoned belongings. In our storage they are not so many and so far we find a way to sort then out – by selling, making gifts for friends, employees and partners or keeping for ourselves. But i wonder, if we have more and more abandoned things, what we’ll do. Maybe the big companies with big depots and a lot of abandoned stuff can advice.
