Moving of antiques and collectibles is the high class of the moving professionalism. The process insists a lot of experience and knowledges. All these things are very expensive and delicate, sometimes extremely.

The most important part of the moving of antiques is the packing. Depending on the type of the antiques, there are different methods of securing and packing.

For small things as some pots, jewels, etc. the most secure, but the most expensive proposal is to use crates. There are
different sizes and shapes of crates, depending on the needs: for paintings and other fine arts, pots, etc.

For big things like furniture, pianos, etc. crates are also useful, but the handling after that will be very difficult. In this case most useful is the packing with soft and flexible materials like bubble wrapped film and nylon.

Abandoned stuff

Like all companies who offer storage of personal items, our company Moving.BG has problems with abandoned property on storage. Because of the crisis many people and companies went into failure and impossibility to pay for the storage of their items, and they were forced to abandon their belongings.

The big companies give some terms to their clients, after what the goods are wasted or sold out. As our company is small, we are more tolerant and flexible and search different opportunities to negotiate with the client – partial payment, rescheduling, etc. But there comes one moment, when some of the clients just stop to answer to our e- mails and phone calls, and the situation is clear.

So, here comes the moment to decide what to do with the abandoned belongings. In our storage they are not so many and so far we find a way to sort then out – by selling, making gifts for friends, employees and partners or keeping for ourselves. But i wonder, if we have more and more abandoned things, what we’ll do. Maybe the big companies with big depots and a lot of abandoned stuff can advice.

When a removal service is much cheaper than the other, there is a reason for this.
